A veteran marketing strategist, Rob Leavitt specializes in issues – and content-based marketing, helping companies create distinction in the marketplace and have strategic conversations with clients, prospects, and market influencers.
Currently, Rob is a principal at Solutions Insights, a B2B consulting and training firm that helps companies create internal alignment, new offerings, and faster routes to revenue. Previously, Rob was Vice President of Marketing at Truman Company, a consultancy specializing in executive relationship marketing, and Vice President of Marketing and Member Advocacy at the Information Technology Services Marketing Association (ITSMA).
For the last ten years, Rob has worked with many of the world's top technology, telecom, and professional services companies, including Accenture, Cisco, EDS, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Lucent, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers and SAP. He has organized dozens of marketing leadership events, and authored numerous articles and reports on solutions marketing and related issues, including marketing leadership, brand management, partners and alliances, corporate communications, and cause-related marketing.
Before ITSMA, Rob owned his own consulting firm, specializing in market research, business and project development, and public relations for corporate and nonprofit clients. He has also managed research and professional training programs at New York University and Harvard University, and has designed and led media projects in more than a dozen countries.
Rob holds a bachelor's degree in U.S. history from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's in political science from MIT. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Public Education Center, a nonprofit media organization in Washington, DC.
